An exciting opportunity has arisen for social workers to join our supportive and innovative Disabled Children’s Service. We are looking for qualified Social Workers who are passionate about providing a high level of service to Disabled Children and their families.
The Disabled Children’s Service is a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to supporting disabled children and their families throughout the City. The team consists of Social Workers, Support Workers, and Occupational Therapists. The service also provides a successful short break provision.
We particularly welcome and encourage applications from experienced social workers who want to work in a child focused environment, with manageable caseloads in a well-developed integrated service. You will be a qualified Social Worker with experience of working with children with disabilities and their families.
The responsibilities include assessment of the needs of disabled children and their families, child protection, court work, working with looked-after-children and preparing young people for adulthood.
